Tim Atkinson contemporary furniture was started over 15 years ago in rural Cheshire by furniture designer and maker Tim Atkinson. Its reputation is now firmly established as a brand of excellence for the conception and creation of original handmade furniture for clients looking for the highest standards of design and craftsmanship.
With pieces made from the finest Oak, Ash, Beech, Elm and Walnut and including chests of drawers, dining tables and chairs, sideboards, benches and mirrors Tim Atkinson's work can be found in several gallery's around Britain.
MJ Cabinet Makers was established in April 2000. Work began in a small workshop just on the outskirts of Keswick, Cumbria. During these early years, Matthew Jardine worked hard to make his furniture known throughout Cumbria, selling through galleries and working from the recommendations of his customers. The strong design and quality in making has built the reputation of MJ Cabinet Makers, and is still the priority when beginning a new piece.
The expansion of the business in 2004 saw the move to a new purpose built workshop premises, sited at the foot of the magnificent Skiddaw range at Braithwaite, Keswick.
Matthew’s work has now been sent throughout the country as well
as abroad and it was a great honour for the business to receive a
visit from HRH The Prince of Wales in March 2005
